Tim “Swanky” Glazner

Tim “Swanky” Glazner co-founder and former organizer of the Hukilau, the second largest Tiki event in the world, and also a collector of Mid Century and Polynesian Pop ephemera. He is an expert in Tiki drinks and the creator of the Grogalizer, a popular Tiki cocktail website which helps people make recipes from Jeff “Beachbum” Berry’s books. His collections have been seen in books by Sven Kirsten, such as Tiki Pop, and in the Paris exhibition of the same name. He is currently finishing up his newest book,“Searching for DonThe Beachcomber,”which will be published soon.

Martin Cate

Martin Cate is a rum and exotic cocktail expert and the owner and creator of Smuggler’s Cove in San Francisco, which features the largest rum selection in the United States and features cocktails from over three centuries of rum history.He is also the co-owner of Whitechapel inSan Francisco, Hale Pele in Portland, False Idol in San Diego, and Max’s in Grand Rapids,MI.Martin and Rebecca Cate’s book“Smuggler’s Cove: Exotic Cocktails, Rum, and the Cult ofTiki”was published by Ten Speed Press in June of 2016 and won the 2017 James Beard Award for Best Beverage Book and the 2017 Spirited Award for Best Cocktail Book.

Daniel “Tiki Diablo” Gallardo

Based out of Los Angeles & serving clients around the world, Daniel is at the forefront of crafting“exotic escapism.”His work involves all manner of creative design & production for a range of products & environments: from custom tiki mugs or glassware to complete venue design, decor construction & interior builds. He is currently hard at work designing the upcoming Don the Beachcomber locations scheduled to open starting in late 2023.

John “Eekum Bookum” Mulder

John Mulder is a tiki mug making master, working with his wife and a team of talented assistants in his studio, located in St. Petersburg, Fl. John has been producing mugs for bars and tiki events for over 20 years. You can find his work at upcoming Don the Beachcomber locations, Tiki Oasis,The Reef, and countless other bars across the country.

Adrian Eustaquio

Adrian Eustaquiois a long time Tiki enthusiast, active member in the Tiki community and avid supporter of the current Tiki revival, considered as one of the major influencers of the Tiki scene. He began collecting Tiki, Hawaiian and South Pacific ephemera almost 3 decades ago and has been studying and continues to study the mainland Tiki movement and it’s relation toAmerican pop culture and cocktail culture, both currently and historically.Most notably, Adrian produces and hosts “Inside the Desert Oasis Room”, a popular podcast and video journal recorded from both his home tiki space of the same name, or “in the field” at various tiki or cocktail inspired events.

Max Well & Alex Lamb

Since 2007, co-directors Alex Lamb and Max Well have been producing music videos, documentaries, children’s shows, commercials, and branded content.After a deep dive into the history of Tiki bars, they decided that the incredible life of Donn Beach was a story they couldn’t resist. Regarded with almost legendary status in the annals of Tiki bar history, Donn Beach is as complicated and enigmatic a subject as any filmmaker could hope for. The more we’ve learned about him, the more we’ve realized that Donn represents one of those rare cases where fact may actually be stranger than fiction. With assistance from preeminent Donn Beach historian,Tim “Swanky” Glazner, and a host of others, including Marie King, Sven Kirsten, Jeff Berry, and more, they intend to explore in great detail the life and times of Donn Beach as well as the legacy that he left behind, in an honest and entertaining way. The documentary is scheduled to be released in the fall of 2023.
